Biological Sciences Project websites

This part of the World of Fungi website features websites written by University of Manchester School of Biological Sciences students in their final undergraduate year. Students have around 2 days each week for up to 12 weeks to research the topic and learn how to create websites and then put their own website together.

bullet Mostly Mushrooms by Richard Clarke (2000): intended to bridge the gap between the mushroom industry and the latest research and discoveries.
bulletThe Biology of Mycorrhizas by Diane Howarth (2001). The purpose of this website is to provide an overview of the biology of mycorrhizas, aimed at the undergraduate level.  However, it should also be straight forward enough and not too technical to attract the non-academic/casual browsers.
bulletFungal Evolution by Jonathan Dixon (2001). This website is primarily aimed at undergraduates in biological sciences, but anyone with a keen interest in fungi may find it useful and appealing.
bullet Fungal Bioremediation by Lucy Goodeve-Docker (2003). This is a website that aims to introduce the reader to the new prospects of using fungi to clean up our environment, known as fungal bioremediation.
