infect. All of these diseases are caused by Dermatophytes - Trichyophyton, Epidermophyton, and Microsporum. Severity of the infection caused can vary, and will depend on the organism involved. and sensitivity of the host to the organism |

PEDIS Organism -T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, E.floccosum Infects - Feet - Athletes foot Clinical symptoms - Vary from scaling to pustules Itching frequently present, unpleasant odour Blistering or cracked skin Warmth, humidity, trauma increases susceptibility Susceptibility increases with age |
