The program is a Java™ applet, which provides you with a full three-dimensional simulation of mycelial growth. Most of the operation of the program is intuitive but we provide you with an operating MANUAL you can download as a PDF file from the link below (and then save or print as you wish).

Remember, though, that the Neighbour-Sensing applet is using YOUR computing power. Calculating the behaviour of a couple of hundred to a thousand or so hyphal tips is pretty demanding, so if your computer is a bit on the slow side the normally smooth growth process will become hesitant and proceed in steps, and may appear to halt altogether. Please don't blame us because your computer isn't up to it!
Finally, now that you can grow them in your own computer, I feel sure that you'll want to buy a book or two about fungi, maybe more. Well, we've not yet written the definitive volume about cyberfungi, but have you seen these books ... click here...?
