Introduction to fungal bioremediation (contributed by Lucy Goodeve-Docker, 2003)

This is a website that aims to introduce the reader to the new prospects of using fungi to clean up our environment, known as fungal bioremediation.

My name is Lucy Goodeve-Docker; as a third year student at the University of Manchester, studying Biology in 2003, I developed this website as my final year project. I aimed this website at a general level, I have included a glossary of terms to help with the explanations. My supervisor for the project was Dr David Moore and he has revised and updated the website in 2011.

To read more about fungi and their bioremedial properties please choose an option from the menu above.

Further information about bioremediation can be found in the new textbook 21st Century Guidebook to Fungi by David Moore, Geoffrey D. Robson & Anthony P.J. Trinci. Published 2011 by Cambridge University Press: ISBN: 9780521186957. URL: ttp://www.cambridge.org/gb/knowledge/isbn/item6026594/?site_locale=en_GB. View Amazon page.
